Upon boarding

Q,  Are using mobile phones allowed?
A,

We do not allow usage of mobile phones in consideration of the inconvenience of other customers.

Q,  Are there any vehicle that allows smoking?
A,

Unfortunately all vehicles are a non-smoking environment for all our guests, we appreciate your understanding.

Q,  Are guide dogs allowed to board?
A, Guide dogs, along with service dogs are free to board with no fee. Please always contact the Ryobi express bus reservation center (TEL: 086-232-6688) in advance. When there are no available seats during the reservation process, you will not be able to board together.
Q,  Are pets allowed?
A, Regarding animals, we do not accept boarding regardless of type, size, or storage condition.
However, guide dogs and service dogs are accepted.
Q,  Why do available seats exist after boarding, even there were no available seats during the reservation process?
A, Depending on the operation reservable seats are limited on the website.
Therefore, even when the seats are full on the interne/mobile website, there are times were seats are reservable on the phone.
Q,  What should I do after I bought a student discount ticket?
A, Please present a student ID or such that proves that you are still attending school to the crew member upon boarding.
If you do not have any proof, you will be charged with a differential fee.
Q,  When the bus is delayed.
A, Arrival at the destination may be delayed considerably due to traffic, weather, etc.Please note in advance that refunds of the fare due to bus delays, and compensation for accommodation facilities and/or transportation facilities to be connected will not be provided.
Q,  Can I board the next service (or the next day) if I miss a bus?
A, Change of service and refunds are not accepted if you miss the bus.Please purchase a new ticket if you will like to board.   Please be informed of the departure date and place of the service, and arrive at the bus stop 10 minutes before departure time.
Q,  Isn’t the break at the Service area during the service a little too long?
A,

If the operation time of the whole service exceeds 4 hours, we are required to provide the crew member a designated amount of recess time.
There is a law established by the country which was triggered by an accident caused by overworking and involved into a big social problem.

Please understand this is to provide safe and secure operation.

About luggage

Q,  About managing and checking of hand luggage.
A, The responsibility of handling and carry-on for hand luggage in the veichle (trunk included) are left to the customers.
When using the trunk please be aware of the following. Also, the customers are required to load their own luggage onto the trunk.
Please keep valuables, precision equipment, and fragile items with you, and do not load them onto the trunk.
Our company will not be responsible for lost, damaged, or mistakenly taken luggage.
Q,  What should I do when I have a lot of luggage?
A,

Please bring luggage that will fit in the luggage rack, or reasonably settle on your lap. Also, we might refuse big luggage, since the trunk space is limited.

About reservations

Q,  What is the reservation number for?
A, The reservation number is needed upon purchasing a ticket. Please submit it to the clerk at the purchasing counter.
Q,  How many people can we make a reservation for at a time?
A, We accept up to 4 people on our website. In the case of making a reservation for more than 5 people, please call the Ryobi express bus reservation center (TEL: 086-232-6688).
Q,  What is the definition of “round trip”?
A, There are three things to consider in round trip reservations.
1. When returning, you shall get on at the point you got off on your out bound trip, and return to the point you boarded.
2. The number of people should not change during the round trip.
3. The days between the out bound and in bound trip should be within the regulation.
All of the above are the terms.
Taking the Tokyo line for an example, when boarding at Okayama station, and getting off at Kurashiki, is not considered as a round trip.
Also, if you have 2 adults and 2 children in the out bound trip, and only have 1 adult and 2 children in the retuning trip, this will not be considered as a round trip.
In the recent case, the 1 adult and 2 children do apply as a round trip, and it is okay to make 2 separate reservations.
Q,  What is the definition of a “child”?
A, The child fare applies to elementary students (ages from 6 to 12).
For preschool children, we will charge child fare in the case when you secure a seat.
Q,  Can I make a change to my reservation?
A,

Changes to your reservation are accepted once, prior to the time of departure of your service. (However this does not apply when using the internet early reservation discount). Also, if you made the reservation on the internet/mobile website, you can process the change on the website. Yet, please be careful since we do not accept a second change. Furthermore, Changes will only be accepted during our operating hours.

Q,  Can I cancel my reservation?
A,

Please submit your cancelation of a returning trip after you have made a reservation for a round trip by phone or at the counter within operating hours.

Also, you are able to cancel your reservation on the Ryobi Bus website.

※Now, reservations made by phone or at the counter are also allowed on the website.

However, please note that the entire reservation will be canceled.
Furthermore, for those who made the reservation on the internet/mobile website, and wish to cancel on the website, please do so by 10 minutes before the time of departure.


Changes to your reservation may be done any time prior to the time of departure.

Q,  How can I be considered for a disability discount?
A,

As there are items to be confirmed, reservations cannot be made on the Internet/mobile website.

Please present a Physical Disability Certificate, Rehabilitation Certificate, or a prescribed fare discount certificate to the crew or staff when visiting the counter or upon boarding.

Q,  What should I do with my book of tickets?
A, For those who hold a book of tickets, please select “use” in the “usage of book of tickets” section during the process of making a reservation on the internet/mobile website. After that, please enter the book of ticket number in the designated field.
Q,  What should I do when I am planning a round trip with 3 people and I only 4 tickets in my book?
A, Sorry to trouble you, but please make a reservation separately for customers who have the book of tickets and customers who do not have them.
Or, please select “do not use” in the “usage of book of tickets” and make a reservation for 3 people, and inform the counter clerk when purchasing the deflected tickets.
Q,  Why do I need to state my phone number when making a reservation?
A, We will contact you in case of prior purchase of a ticket or when a cancellation of services occur. It will not be used for any other purpose.

About purchasing tickets

Q,  Where should I purchase a ticket?
A, You can purchase tickets at the Okayama station west entrance bus center, at each Ryobi bus tourism center, or at the Tenmaya bus station.Please inform the clerk with the reservation number.
Furthermore, you can also purchase them at the joint operation company counter, and at the affiliated travel agency.
Please note that no purchases are accepted at the JR-Midori counter for reservations that were made on our website.
Tickets are also purchasable at convenience stores (Lawson, FamilyMart), please check and read 「“About ticketing at convenience stores”」.
Q,  When should I buy my ticket by?
A,

Please purchase within 5 days including the date of making the reservation.

If your departure date is within 5 days, please purchase by 6PM the day before departure.
※However, take note that when using the internet early reservation discount 3, please purchase within 3 days, and when using the internet early reservation discount 5, please purchase within 5 days, or else, it will be canceled automatically.
When cancelling, please call the Ryobi express bus reservation center (TEL: 086-232-6688).

Q,  Can I use book of tickets from other companies than Ryobi bus?
A, It is only usable if the book of tickets are from a joint operation line.
Q,  How can I purchase a book of tickets after making a reservation?
A, When purchasing book of tickets at the Okayama station west entrance bus center, at each Ryobi bus tourism center, or at Tenmaya bus station, please provide the reservation number to the clerk.
When purchasing at a different counter, please always call the Ryobi express reservation center (TEL: 086-232-6688).
If there is no contact, we will not be able to make the transaction for the purchase, which may result in an automatic cancelation.
Q,  It seems like it was canceled automatically, what should I do?
A, Please call the Ryobi express bus reservation center (TEL: 086-232-6688), and present the reservation number.
If there is an available seat, we will make another reservation.
Further, if automatic cancelation often occurs with a certain customer, our company may contact you.

About delay

Q,  When the bus is delayed.
